Exploring passive solar design and thermal temperature control, a small  shack was built using wood pallets and

re-purposed materials obtained for free. The goal was to create a prototype to see what works and what doesn't, firsthand. The journey was rough and many valuable lessons were learned.

Yogarden Greenhouse

West Orange, NJ USA

Adjacent, but not attached to the main home, this semi permeable greenhouse uses a solar shade to water the plants within, and is built with mostly recycled materials donated by the builder and collected by the client.

Timber Frame Porch

A Timber frame porch consisting of 12x12" posts with corbels  (purchased by the client), 12x6" beams with lap joints, a 12x6" ledger attached to the house and 8x8" rafters. All lumber was purchased from a local lumber yard.

Earthship Roof Replacement

Power: Solar

Roof demo and additions for a 30 year old earthship in the REACH community after extensive water damage was identified. The physical work was contracted out to one of the original builders, drawings provided by NexGenGreen .
